Emma Hakanson earned her B.S. in Natural Resources at Northland College and began graduate study in 2024. Her interests include competition, population dynamics, and spatial ecology, with previous experience in GIS and ecological data management.

The Wildmarker proposal identifies Emma as the graduate researcher implementing field studies, linking instrument development with observations of small mammals in Idaho.
